Herkimer Diamonds are Clear Quartz crystals which form within solid rock.  They have double terminated crystal ends and the smooth crystal faces allow the stone to be transparent.  Exceptionally clear stones sparkle like a diamond.  Sterling silver wires wrap the pendant securely while allowing the light to reflect from the facets like beveled mirrors.  Bail is large size to accomodate many chain options.  Gemstones were mined near Herkimer, New York.
